I had been wanting to make this collection for a long time. RuPaul has always been for me a reference of Drag beauty, elegance, poise, good communication and courage. It was watching his contest RuPaul Drag Race, when I also discovered a tremendously human RuPaul, compassionate, generous, kind and maternal, able to bring out the best in each contestant. Mama Ru. And thanks to him, and his excellent advice on self-improvement and encouragement, personal growth, reaffirmation of identity and pride in oneself, I decided to take my Art out of the closet of self-censorship and show it to the world, without fear of moral conventions that in the century in which we live are already obsolete and a pernicious legacy of the darkest aspect of religious morality.
