Hello! I’m an artist, Alexander Adamov, and I’m putting my index fingerprint for sale.
After all, a fingerprint is one of the unique biometric factors that are most widely used in the systems of authentication and identity proofing ranging from banking to mobile devices unlocking. Throughout history the fingerprint was becoming a target for spies, you should remember Ethan Hunt from the Mission: Impossible, or even a collector’s item. Like the painting by Rembrandt with preserved artist’s fingerprints that was sold at a Sotheby’s for $12 million. 
As for now, the motivation comes from the opportunity to correlate something unique from the real physical world with the technology that allows to underline the content uniqueness in digital environment.
During the ownership period of the digital fingerprint, I intend to create a series of artworks, which will also be uploaded on NFT platforms. They will be dedicated to the tactility and interaction with the outside world through touching.
