This is a collection of photos taken just 5 days before the infamous 2011 Stanley Cup Riot in Vancouver.

With just 1 win away from the championship, the sprit was high. Vancouver was celebrating. These images captured hockey fans high-fiving, celebrating, convinced the Stanley Cup was in the bag,  in downtown Vancouver on June 10, 2011

Who knew just days later, Vancouver would lose 2 straight games, ultimately losing the Stanley Cup and the usually peaceful and joyful city would erupt into a devastating riot.
