Childsplay is the evidence of me rediscovering and getting in contact with my inner child. This inner child has been unfairly hurt, disregarded and walked over, and I want to make things right with him. This is healing for me. This is me being vulnerable, but allowing others to see my challenges and progress I make gives me the opportunity to relate. I'm opening myself up to be known, because all these artworks are personal. Sometimes the expression of this healing comes in the form of a realistic portrait with key colours to explore what it feels like, other times it's an abstract rendition of what appears to be a face with children's drawings around it - the main thing is that I am honest with myself. And since this is an ongoing process, the collection is not limited to a max amount of artworks, but rather more will be added as I continue exploring.
