 Centenarians

May-Aug, 2021

Documentary filmmaker and photographer Eric Ebner meets and photographs Centenarians (Persons who have reached 100 years or older) across the state of Michigan.

For many people, reaching 100 years of age is an accomplishment. In reality, this milestone is much more complicated. The result is a body for work that is both inspiring and unsettling, uplifting and overwhelming. Like the lives of the centenarians, the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Many of these subject are still alive today, some have already passed on, these being one of the final photos of their life.

These portraits represent lives lived fully. By creating this collection I hope to facilitate a a conversation of what it means to be human.

Part of the proceeds from the sale of this collection will go back to the programs that support these Centenarians. Non-commercial rights.
