adorable elephants

Elephants are part of the existing ecosystem, and their disappearance from the face of the Earth can lead to dramatic consequences. These large animals break down trees and shrubs, uproot them and trample the soil. In order to live, an elephant needs about 200 kg of food in the form of bark, tubers, grass and shoots. And if these animals are a whole herd, then they play a major role in preserving pastures from the onset of forests. In addition, elephants defecate, changing the structure of the soil, and the extinction of these beneficial animals can lead to the disappearance of essential minerals in it. Unfortunately, environmentalists predict that elephants may disappear in twenty years. Man exterminates animals for ivory, so the population of these herbivores is rapidly declining. If elephants disappear, changes in the ecosystem are inevitable. That's when we will find out how useful these animals were for all life on the planet.
