This is the first series of digital artworks that apple.slicers made, which focuses on memory as a subject matter. The starting point was C describing their childhood home to K, whilst K used architecture design software to bring that to life as C was describing it. As you can imagine there were a lot of holes in C’s memory which got replicated in this artistic process.

Through the process of trying to reduce the environmental impact of our art practice, we processed the artwork through iterations of smaller and smaller file sizes. This file reduction started to have an aesthetic impact on the artwork. You can see here all sorts of blurrings of colour and space, which interestingly began to mimic the imprecision of memory.
