Muizenberg is an exquisitely faded resort town with a long history. It once served as a cattle post (established in the 1670s by the Dutch East India Company at nearby Zandvlei), a winter anchorage for company ships and a military outpost. Today it is considered to be the main surfing spot in Cape Town and is currently home to a large surfing community at the popular 'Surfer's Corner'. The iconic multicoloured huts on Muizenberg Beach is captured by Hendrik Louw (I am Hendrik).
