This song is about getting up and following your dreams... The search for something greater. This applies specifically to my life, being a first generation immigrant, moving around a lot as a kid, and being an artist/entrepreneur. I've always been on a search for something bigger than myself. My very conception was between 2 people who left their native countries of Tanzania and South Africa, to fly across the ocean in search of something more.

There's a "Buzzin" feeling you get when you know your potential is greater than your physical environment. I think a lot of small towners and midwesterners who seek to make an impact in the world can feel me as well. After Brady Watt and I connected we finished this song probably in 2 hours tops, and he played every instrument on it. This was really fun to me because I came up performing to a band way before I ever had a DJ. A band / natural instrument setting is probably the most natural way for me to write and perform.

I moved around mainly out of necessity as a child, but as a young man I had the pleasure of choosing to live in some of the greatest cities in the world. What's crazy is that everything came full circle. Everything I learned from all of the cultures and places I've been, have taught me how to give back, build, and make my hometown of St. Paul, Minnesota a greater place to live for myself and my whole community.
