"One day, son. It'll have to be you casting the nets. It'll have to be you, taking on the tides."
I met this father son duo the other day. They'd been in the sea all night casting their net in the hopes of a sizeable haul. I tracked them as they made their way to the shore.
As you walk by the azure waters & the Golden Sands of Puri, you find the beach buzzing with a cacophony of voices. Families standing on the shore waiting for their loved ones to return from last night's hunt. The swanky hotels & their jolly tourists. The horsemen & camel drivers walking by with tourists on them for a livelihood. "Come rinse your hands in the water, for the sea washes off all your sins", some say. Lastly what's more inviting that the sight of land after stormy skies & choppy seas ? Food, right So, how bout some tea, samosas & jhalmuri ?
