Under her suggestion, Ilgvars Zalans, Stojan Milanov, and Serhiy Savchenko made their drawings on the selected photographs, immediately deepening the initial idea and transforming them into a complex synthetic metamodern reaction to reality. In September 2021 G.ART Gallery art platform organized an international residence for well-established and young artists from the countries, situated east of Western Europe, and gave them an ambitious task: to perceive Berlin creatively, to offer their own vision of this city through the prism of their culture and unique world view. Residence participants used their creative potential in various techniques, types, and styles of art to reflect on Berlin's unique specifics. A Plein-air location is a unique place - a terrace of the high-rise apartment house in the city's center, on the border between West and East Berlin. Roots&Roofs exhibition is a conclusion of the art residence.
