Doorway to Dreams is one of my signature "Sun Stars" and one of a small number of my photos taken in locations that are not in the USA. I was able to take a trip to the "Jurassic Coast" on the south coast of England in October 2021 on my way to Iceland. I spent 4 days there. I spent every moment I could at the "Durdle Door." When I am far from home, since I can't go back to the same location over and over like I usually do, I spend as much time as I can at one location trying to refine the photograph and get the perfect conditions. So, during this trip, I spent all my time at the Durdle Door. I finally found this angle that I loved and when the sun peaked out under the cloud covered sky, I knew I had the shot I had been dreaming of.
