Portrait of a Young Man Imitating Sandro Botticelli started with feeding the Early Renaissance painted Sandro Botticelli's Portrait of a Young Man Holding a Roundel to the AI.

The painting itself has been created in and around 1480 by Botticelli. It was sold to a private Russian collector at Sotheby's for USD 92.2 million on January 2021.

The AI output I obtained was further intermingled with genes of other works I chose and then randomized in a controlled manner. Final image sets were merged into a GIF showing the phases of the subject matter. Then the final GIF was edited and finished off as a video piece with accompanying music from Pixabay Music.

My intention was to show how narrow the differences are between the genders and between us the humans in general. From the physical diversity built by small differentiations of similar genes to the common fate of birth and decay..

I created a Young Woman and Young Man which I will mint in that order. This is the second variation with the Young Man.
