Born in Yerevan, Armenia, Hrant, grew up under the supervision of his grandmother from the age of 5.  After graduating from high school he didn’t listen to her advice to study computer engineering and lead by his inner voice and creative talent he decided to enter the Armenian Academy of Fine Arts. From an early age, he developed an interest in photography and after graduating from the academy Hrant worked as a designer until his passion for photography took over his artistic practice. In 2012 he started his career as a photographer at a major local photojournalistic agency. Actively working in the field, Hrant filmed everything that happened in his country, from politics to sports, to rockstar concerts and even took a path of developing his documentary projects. After 7 years of professional photojournalism, lead by a desire for artistic freedom he took on a freelance career. Joining the NFT space in January 2022, Hrant is open in his artistic approach as he doesn’t like to follow a narrow path, and explores different genres of photography, from street and documentary to a commercial field as well. “After all, photography is my life and I don’t want to divide it into some parts, or styles, I simply shoot what I feel.”
