We have been on road-trips to different parts of the country, mostly during monsoon due to the love for moody environmental shots though we often end up risking our gear while shooting in torrential rain.

Shot on a cold and rainy evening at Mahabaleshwar in Maharashtra, India, this photograph has a heart-warming story since it gave us a glimmer of hope in testing times.

We arrived at Mahabaleshwar quite late and were extremely tired after the arduous journey; how-ever being a hill-station all the restaurants had closed by then. We were literally starving & didn’t know how to spend the night without food, when a random stranger passing by overheard our conversation & invited us to his home for dinner.

The main subject in this image is this benevolent soul who helped us on that dreadful night. This shot, though shot on phone, will remain one of my all-time favorites.
