Cascade Dreamscape
From a solo summit adventure atop Vesper Peak in the North Cascades, Washington.
Another smokey sunset where the haze created an ethereal ambience, the clear skies above allowed for golden rays of sunlight to cast over the landscape, and the silence of the alpine brought peace of mind. Just simplistic pleasure high above the landscape as I sat alone with my camera and my thoughts.
A collection of 30 1/1 images captured amongst the rugged mountains of the North Cascades in Washington, by Daniel Fowler. Over 200 miles traveled on foot, over 100,000 feet of elevation gain climbed, almost four years of persevering in the mountains, and well over 150,000 photographs taken...welcome to Cascade Dreamscape.
Throughout my life, I dreamt of going on adventurous expeditions to the farthest reaches of our planet, especially the remote mountains here in the United States. Over the past few years, I've had the privilege of being able to document these fragile environments and have seen first hand just how quickly they are changing due to climate change. These photographs are just brief moments frozen in time that help document the beautiful glaciated landscapes of the North Cascades.
