Bomb Story: Although The Hundreds started off as a men’s brand, early on, there was a sister line called TENS that shared the same inspiration and aesthetic. Madam was the TENS’ brand mascot and borrowed the same colors and styling of Adam, but reflected the strong and charismatic women that surrounded us in streetwear. Unfortunately, TENS only lasted a few seasons, but Madam was intermittently brought back into The Hundreds’ world, recently making a cameo in the 2021 Adam Bomb collection. Today, she holds it down as an on/off-again love interest for Adam and a good and loyal friend to the Adam Bomb Squad. The Pure Madam is the classic Madam Bomb logo imagined in a number of The Hundreds-approved colorways, pulled directly from our base palette. Unlike most of the other art in the ABS collection, this NFT features the only Madam Bomb that is colored up in these tones. | Background Story: In the early 2000s, all-over-prints reigned supreme in independent streetwear. The trend was a response to the boring solids and understated color-blocking of the dominant skate and urban market. It also followed the footsteps of Nigo's A Bathing Ape camos. Smaller, T-shirt-based brands like ours tapped into the ancient screen-printing techniques of roller-printing, oversized screens, and belt-printing to execute messy patterns over seams, collars, and hemlines. Of all the all-over-prints The Hundreds was responsible for during this time, Cherries was Ben's least favorite. But Bobby loved the kitschy nature, Americana flair, and the rockabilly/punk connotations.
