Bobby Hundreds illustrated a cartoony Adam Bomb with an anxious, expectant face, based off of The Hundreds’ logo at the time, an iconic silhouette called Solid Bomb. Over the years, Adam Bomb blanketed the world, proudly worn by generations of streetwear fans, topping Times Square’s highest billboard, and collaborating with the biggest name brands and artists. Adam Bomb Squad is the leader of the Adam Bomb Squad and is one of the most recognizable faces in fashion today. The Pure Adam is the classic Adam Bomb logo imagined in a number of The Hundreds-approved colorways, pulled directly from our base palette. Unlike most of the other art in the ABS collection, this NFT features the only Adam Bomb that is colored up in these tones. | Background Story: In the early 2000s, all-over-prints reigned supreme in independent streetwear. The trend was a response to the boring solids and understated color-blocking of the dominant skate and urban market. It also followed the footsteps of Nigo's A Bathing Ape camos. Smaller, T-shirt-based brands like ours tapped into the ancient screen-printing techniques of roller-printing, oversized screens, and belt-printing to execute messy patterns over seams, collars, and hemlines. Of all the all-over-prints The Hundreds was responsible for during this time, Cherries was Ben's least favorite. But Bobby loved the kitschy nature, Americana flair, and the rockabilly/punk connotations.
