A unique scene, discovered on a crisp winters' morning in the New Forest. Located on the South coast of England, the park covers over 200 square miles. It's a designated area of outstanding natural beauty.
The forest is home to deer, ponies, reptiles, birds, insects, and plants. 1000 year old Yews live here, some of the oldest trees in the UK.
The trees in this photograph live away from the main forest. The group stood tall and silent on this cold morning, their leaves dropped for the winter.
The stillness of this place, combined with the patches of fog made a special atmosphere.

The Return to Nature Collection
In this fast-paced world, we can easily get distracted from what is good for us - or see what we might need. Even a short amount of time in nature can charge our batteries, ground us, and gently remind us of the important aspects of life. Nature is a very rewarding place, on many levels.
The eight pieces are from my visits to nature, where I captured a certain stillness. I don't generally plan my photography. I like to see what beauty is shown on the day.
