This series echoes pieces Mallary created by hand in the 40's, exercises in drafting that, while impressive, pale in comparison to the machine precision on display here. Bob seems to celebrate the plotter's previously unheard of ability to quickly produce grids and lattices with extraordinary dexterity. This is an unusually large piece, nearly filling its sheet.
