"Perchée" (perched) is a representation that tells the journey to the heart of life, that of the connection between man and his environment: a relationship that breathes balance in a space where the colors represent understanding, empathy and respect, in short, original ancestral values.

Inspired by the daily life of the Mbororo nomads, the painting is scratched with motifs inspired by rock engravings on a background of gradations between cold and Sahelian tones.

---------- PRESENTATION OF THE ARTIST

Salma is a Chadian artist. After training with German, American and French professionals, notably the Bar Floréal Photo Agency and the Ostkreuz Agency, she has worked for many Ongs and companies. With the French Embassy in Chad, she participated in the book project entitled "Portraits de Femmes Tchadiennes" which aims to promote Chadian women through photo reports and texts.

Photographer and painter, she also works as a graphic designer to combine her artistic and innovative character with her capacity for exchange, reflection and analysis.

Her pieces represent scenes of daily life in the Sahel, in this case in the rural environment, often using natural pigments such as cola powder, chlorophyll, black charcoal powder and gum arabic.
