These 7 art works are part of a series I made under the title 'Ornate'. I created them to celebrate the beautiful faces of Ethiopian women in conjunction with traditional Ethiopian geometrical patterns. Both complemented each other creating a beautiful portraiture, therefore I gave them the title 'Ornate'.
All 7 art works are made with little pieces of paper glued next to each other. This technique is rarely used by artists around the world let alone in Ethiopia. The technique is called 'Paper mosaic'.

About the artist:
I am a self taught artist from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I graduated with political science and international relations degree but I ultimately decided to become a full time artist.
I use a range of mediums to create my art works such as drawing, digital art and paper mosaic art. My style could easily be noticed on my paper mosaic art works. My collection I am presenting here in this platform are also paper mosaic art works.
