Developed in 2018, this poster was produced to exhibit alongside the unveiling of ASD's Italian cookware series at Milan Design Festival.

Mitchell designed this cookware inspired by music notation to commemorate south Italy where modern musical notation was first invented by Guido of Arezzo in 1000 AD.

Mark Mitchell Design - Collectables collection image

Born in England in 1997, Mitchell has worked as an Industrial Designer in Cambridge, London, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Jakarta and presently resides in Amsterdam working with an award winning Dutch branding and industrial design studio. His career started early at age 17 when a London homewares brand bought the manufacturing rights to a bird box that he designed for a school project. Since this, he has worked with companies such as Rado, Karim Rashid, Bosch, Unilever and Canon as well as exhibiting his research into Phase Change Materials at London Design Festival in partnership with DesignJunction a few years ago.

He sees each project as pause for reflection, a formal study in essence, emotion and narrative. The artefacts he creates are not soulless and have a conveyed origin. They exist as something not entirely new but of a progression in Industrial Design history, closely influenced by current affairs and material/technological innovations.
