The artwork is completely grown out of mycelium (the vegetative part of a fungus or fungus-like bacterial colony, consisting of a mass of branching, thread-like hyphae). Mycelium has immense potential to help us repair the damage we have caused and Save the world. It can help to boost human immunity, cleaning up oil spills, and guarding against outbreaks of disease.

With this artwork, we celebrate life from death, thus the smiley in the centre. A reminder that we need to look out for solutions in nature and be a part of it, work in coherence and learn from it to surpass our individuality, reject the ego and any given dominant order of, say, Western civilisation, such as individual ownership or capitalist logics of growth. Death is part of life. Death sustains life. Just as closeness or intimacy involves awareness of absence understood as that which is not visibly present. Steer, repair and rebuild. Breath like Mycelium. Smile between death and life, smile like fungus!
