While on residency in 2016 at the Vermont Studio Center I created this work on a large sheet of vellum paper using sharpie markers and various types of tape to create an overview map of The City of the Dead. I imagined my morbid metropolis as a European-style megalopolis with a historic core, through which ran the River Styx.

This piece is a 1/2 with the original residing in the artist's personal collection. The original is a 4 x 6-foot mixed media work, drawn and painted on vellum.
