This is another image generated by the Teotihuacan program. Because the program uses random values to create the image, an infinite number of variations are possible. Recursively placed squares in a grid evoke the layout of Teotihuacan, an ancient city in what's now Mexico. The repetition of the patterns is similar to how cities emerge, and the colors are like the earth we craft into spaces where we live, work, and play. Just like millennia ago, cities are where we thrive. The image was generated using a generative art program written in Clojure.

Purchasing this NFT will allow you to receive a professionally printed, framed, and signed 18 by 18 inch print of the token. The image will be shipped to destinations within the United States using UPS Ground shipping. For shipping to international destinations, an additional $20 USD shipping fee will be required.

Teotihuacan by Andrew Bryant collection image

Teotihuacan was an ancient city near what’s now Mexico City. I found out about Teotihuacan when reading The Dawn of Everything by David Graeber and David Wengrow. The diagram of the city in it drew my attention. Its tightly packed right-angled polygons modeling the layout of the city got me thinking about how this look could be applied in the space of generative artwork. I wanted to celebrate not just this city, but cities in general. As people move and interact with each other, the city takes on a life of its own, shaping its residents as much as they shape it. It becomes more than the sum of its parts.

5 square images and 5 circle images will be dropped. Each NFT is accompanied by a professionally printed, framed, and signed 18 by 18 inch print of the token.
