Having immigrated to the US from Korea in 1985, and having an uncommon type of brain, I'd lived with scarcity mentality for a large portion of my years. Despite having written about this phenomenon and studied cases, it was a foreign experience to me, by name, until I was freed from it.

Much of social media reveals the scarcity mentality in humans. I painted this on my phone during a particularly deep season of scarcity, pondering how mysterious and far away it seemed a life of free management and gathering of my resources.
