I titled this piece Land and Sea because I dropped the humpback whale into the woods and added an elk for good luck. The mixture of layers and color filtration created a fire of colors. The big humpback is a large female, mother of the baby at the top.
Inspired by an upcoming call for entries by our Museum of Contemporary Art, I have started a series on animals: endangered and those that have made a comeback. My goal is to create abstract layered work using imagery of the animals and their environments.
