Inspired by my time here in Guatemala and learning more about Pre-Hispanic cultures. To me, this illustration shows a richness in cultures that thrived before the Spanish arrival. Parts of culture such as fashion, architecture, religion much of which is centered around nature its power and its beauty.

Inspired especially now, as there is a conversation about how to define "Hispanic" or Latine/x/o/a and the need to prove ourselves in a white, male, christian etc. society.... because there was a time before this all existed on this side of the world and people were thriving.
