As he made his way through the foggy road, he pointed to the high place in front of him and said.

“It’s right there!”

The destination was Sandakpu. If a professional trekker or mountaineer reads my trekking diary, it would be difficult enough to laugh at, but I was thankful for my body who came up to this point without any problems. It was a great thrill for me, having never stepped on a mountain this high. We squeezed out all our strength and finally reached the top.

3,600 meters above sea level! I had reached an altitude I had never experienced before. I felt a sense of relief saying, 'You've come all the way here.' The Kanchenjunga mountain I had seen from Darjeeling was much closer, and the clouds were beneath my feet. He was emitting the last vitality he could give out before the sun went down in the intense light of the setting sun. Everything in Mother Nature changed to different colors according to the changing sky blue and sunlight. Again, decidedly the colors were fantastic. A feast of colors that you will never see on a monitor or print. Inside, I felt at ease with a sense of accomplishment that I had come here. It was such a beautiful sight. About 30 minutes later, the clouds slowly covered Kanchenjunga, and the snowy mountain that I so longed for finally left my eyes. As I watched Kanchenjunga disappear from sight, my mind recalled the details of the process leading up to this trip. The nights I spent wandering around Seoul earning money every day before my trip, the anecdote of having my bag stolen while traveling from Mumbai to Hampi and Goa in India, the short wandering I had to go through without a plan and the traveler friends I met as a result, the Cities of Rajasthan and Varanasi, wonderful travelers on their own tours, and Indians.

All of them were valuable experiences and friends.

Last but not least, I have to make an effort to go back to Delhi again and go home. To be honest, I was afraid at first. However, after meeting many people and experiencing beautiful architecture and nature, I was able to adapt to the country of India and accept many things and get through it.

Did travel change me? I don't know for sure, but the important thing is that I am different from before I came on the trip. When I get home, I plan to break through the things I feared head-on now.
