The idea for this painting came to me immediately after my stay in New York City. There was a wonderful bar in my hotel there which I visited every evening. Each time I met other people, used to talk with them and learned new things about customs and habits of other countries, because most of the time the bar guests were also foreign visitors. Some simply dropped by thirsty after a Broadway performance, while others were on shore leave. One of the bar staff was particularly friendly and we still follow each other on Instagram. I have tried to reflect all my impressions in this painting. The different main religions, different cultures, simply everything peacefully under one roof - at least during my stay.
