The Hunchback of Notre-Dame is a French Gothic novel by Victor Hugo, published in 1831. The novel sought to preserve values of French culture in a time period of great change, which resulted in the destruction of many French Gothic structures and threatened to trivialise the vibrancy of 15th century France. The novel made Notre-Dame de Paris a national icon and served as a catalyst into a renewed interest in the restoration of Gothic form.
This collection consists of patterns that are generated using family of character fonts
Each picture with a pattern from collection is made of two elements:
- Fonts from the Type Tile family from the Konst.ru foundry
- Texts of popular works of famous writers, influential books of humanity, fundamental documents and just sets of letters
Each element of the collection is divided into several types:
- Text - book, document and others
- Dots - hexagon, star, rhomb, circle and others
- Background - red, green, blue and others
- Dots color - red, green, blue and others
- Language - Greek, English, Russian and others
- Format - vertical, horizontal, square
The combination of a character font and any text gives a unique pattern. In addition to the decorative function, such a pattern carries an encrypted message, which is not read directly, but affects indirectly and adds additional meaning to the text due to the color, shape of the dots and the pattern of the encrypted text
