MYSTICS is a collection of 3d art that chronicles a journey of trauma and healing. I was raised in a cultish pentecostal sect where the spiritual was not synonymous with freedom but rather with control, subjugation, and obedience. Depression was treated as demon possession, and so much more insanity. My reaction to this was to run the other direction and eschew all matters of spirituality. But over time, brought on by the need to confront my suppressed anxiety and trauma, I began to introspect and found through therapy and psychedelics that there was something missing from my life. This collection shows my process of beginning to heal my connection to the spiritual and exploring its place in my life.
