/leftypol/ used to be an active community that enabled people from mostly the left side of the political spectrum to come together, discuss things and sometimes even support causes or fund lectures. Recently, however, the leadership of the website had a split and ever since then the site has been on a downward spiral. Now, in its dying days, it is controlled by despotic mods who delete and ban anyone who disagrees with them. Discussion is censored and curated and it is no longer a place for a free exchange of leftist ideas. It used to be run by communists and socialists, but now it is run by social democrats pasquale, wvobbly and m00dy.
