Citadel #912 photo #3 Hideaway

My fascination with abandoned places is growing. I find them a bit creepy and scary, but also often feel sadness. These are places that were once busy or loved or useful, no longer have a purpose.

Another part of the fascination is with the deterioration, for many reasons and often due to age, weather, urban mining, vandalism, and accumulation of combustible materials (trash), etc. This often leads to dangerous conditions which in some way adds to the mystery and allure.

I love to adventure to these amazingly beautiful places. What stories do they tell? Who came before me? Why did they leave?

The is exclusive to this market and is not sold elsewhere. There are 21 photos minted from this location (Citadel #912) and I am minting only 1 copy of each photo. The danger level represents the risk of being caught; the level of signs and warnings to not enter for example. Or also the state of disrepair. Some of these abandoned places are very unstable and there is a risk when entering.

[This was danger 4 because there were extensive signs all over this area. There was also a fenced-off area that we needed to get through. Also, some people were walking in the nearby area. There was a horse stabled here and pigs. This made us nervous as we thought an owner potentially could come by at any time. Lastly, some of the buildings seemed very unstable. Portions of the buildings were underground, and on this visit, I didn't take photos of those.]

Photographs of beautiful abandoned buildings.

I'm attracted to the mystique and intrigue of these places. I don't know the stories behind them, but there are so many questions. Who walked in these rooms? Where or why did they go? What's the history? I do a lot of research after visiting to find out more about the #abandoned building. But often there isn't much information.

Each #deserted #place will have a limited number of images published from that visit. Typically there are 7-21 photos taken at each #bando. These individual collections will be named and I only mint 1 of each unique image.

You can read more information about these beautiful places on my personal website.
