Pop is a piece that goes beyond its definition. It's up to the eye of the beholder to interpret its individualism and unique perception of this 3D immersive piece. It originally started as it's most cliche-ish definition, "Make it pop." which literally became my mission, to make something pop. It was critical that it felt like it was coming out at you. Pop evolved and it became multiple definitions. It's my pop art. It's about making something that is popular. It's what those who grew up in Chicago, like me, and called soda, Pop. It's Onomatopoeia, frankly.

The best return on my typographic treatment comes when letters that are created embody a real, organic, and original style. The letters derive from the way me and my crew would paint illegal graffiti in underground subways, elevated rooftops, water towers, billboards, and on the trains themselves. It has an "outline", "throwie", "fill-in" style acquired during many times getting over inner-city systems. Sometimes my style can get very geometric, departing from my original "real graffiti" approach. This is not that.

This graffiti art was created in C4D using splines, extrude, bend, and an explosion fx deformer. The sketched letters are malleable and bend in opposing ways. The explosive pieces can be animated as an actual explosion and there is a custom camera set up for bespoke angles. It can also be augmented using Adobe Aero, Facebook, and Instagram.
