The world I witnessed in 2021
Aarin Purple was born in Tokyo and studied at Central Saint Martin in London. She currently lives and works in Tokyo. She normally works with ubiquitous objects that are used in semiotic sense in her art works sharing her views of a society and humanity. She likes to create assemblage works as if she collages with any items that arose her curiosity. Currently she expanded her interests by creating AR Gifs as she thinks that it adds more essence of the hyper reality.
The EVERY WOMAN BIENNIAL is a celebration of: uplifting women, non-binary artists, creating opportunities, encouragement, connection, community, inspiration and love. Bringing together established artists alongside hundreds of emerging artists, some showing for the first time. The Biennial launched in NYC in 2014 by founder C. Finley, originally under the name, The Whitney Houston Biennial, as a way to provide a platform and exposure for more female artists.
