This is a trash-replica of the Atlas Farnese, hosted in the National Archaeological Museum of Napoli. This piece is made of 80 pieces of trash and/or urban furniture. The sculpture represents the Titan Atlas, wearing the Celestial Sphere (not the planet Earth, dummy). Atlas was condemned by Zeus to wear the whole world on his shoulders after losing the Titanomachy war. The original sculpture is 2,1 m high and is made of marble. It was found the 16th century in the baths of Caracalla in Rome. Look it up
This collection is a serie of five trash-based sculptures, replicas of ancient greek sculptures. The trash is scanned using photogrammetry and 3D modeling then set up to mimic the movement and the expression of the characters they're inspired of. The goal is to lure the spectator's brain and eyes in seeing bodies, motion and emotion where there is only a pile of trash to see.
Each pieces comes with an HD (1920x1920) version of the display video and the 3D model in GLB format.
