BRASS - KNUCKLES BUTTERFLY From violent confrontation arises the beautiful. Two weapons, in their clash, become a kind of winged animal. The bad turns into something positive. The violent, into beautiful. Metaphor of the very idea of creation in these uncertain times, in times of pandemic, war and crisis, where there is still some room for hope.
Avelino Sala (Gijón, 1972) es artista, comisario (colectivo curatorial Commission) y editor (revista Sublime). Además, escribe en medios como Artishock o A desk. Su trabajo como artista le ha llevado a cuestionar la realidad cultural y social desde una perspectiva tardo-romántica, con una mirada crítica y poco cómoda, en un continuo explorar el imaginario social e intentar meter el dedo en la llaga para comprobar el poder del arte como generador de espacios de experimentación capaces de recrear nuevos mundos.
