The desert is unforgiving. I spent two weeks camping in the dust and heat. Every day I uncovered an entirely new set of challenges. Every inch of my camper and my truck were covered in dirt and I had it caked on my skin. I'd wake up every day at dawn to go shoot, come back to camp and dump a jug of water over my head before making breakfast. I've never appreciated water more than I did during my time here. It was the first time I experienced being truly thirst, like needing water to live. It's the first time I experienced being truly truly dirty. 2 weeks of desert dust caked on your skin is brutal. After a while it all felt like a hallucination. Was I going mad? Maybe, but I know one thing, it gave me a new perspective on life and all the things I take for granted, especially water.

Part of my mission as a photographer is to capture and collect rare experiences. I've traveled the world, climbed mountains and have spent hours, days and sometimes weeks searching for beautiful scenes. Along that journey, there have been handful of times that go beyond being a simply beautiful photograph, and stand out as extraordinary moments of my story. This is a collection of my favorite memories, the moments when the universe aligned perfectly and I was fortunate enough to be standing in the right place at the right time with my camera in hand to capture it.
