I was eating dinner with my family and caught a glimpse of the clouds forming outside. As soon as I saw the first hint of color I apologized to my family and sprinted back to our hotel to get my camera gear. Across the next 15 minutes it was a mad dash up a hill to the viewpoint. When I arrived I was able to capture this shot just in time, just 5 minutes later and all the color had left the sky. To this day I still can't believe I was able to capture such a sunset. Running her own brush strokes through the sky, mother nature is truly an artist. I have never seen a better sunset in my life and feel I probably never will again, an evening I'll never forget.
