I have a terrible memory. I have hardwired myself, unintentionally, to forget a lot because some part of me is resolute about moving forward in time. Perhaps the child in me saw how many people in my life clung to the past like a trophy they can never win back ... like all that is beautiful and happy has come already.

I have unwavering faith in the present, very little regard for the future, and often complete amnesia about the past. I don't know what to make of that but I know how my relationship with time makes me feel, intuitively. That is what I have attempted to recreate with this piece.
