I have shot this portrait of Priest of this Badavi Linga or Lord Shiva Statue at Hampi. In this image the Statue or Shiva Linga is called as Badavi Linga as in olden days an old poor lady used to worship. It is UNESCO World heritage Monument at Hampi. This priest we seeing a old man climbing the Idol worships Shivalinga and in the process, he steps on it. But no one calls it sacrilege. For late 90 year-old K N Krishna Bhatt, who has been the priest at Badavi Linga temple in the world famous Hampi heritage site for decades, the daily puja is a bit of an adventure.
