What usually attracts me to a scene outside of composition is the harmony of colors. I am particularly drawn to shades of purple and blue, I believe those are some of my most beautiful images, particularly those in the rain. This is one of those photos not taken in the rain where I think everything comes together perfectly and could not be better.

I was exploring the alleys of Dongdaemun in Seoul, South Korea when I came across this scene. It needed a little something, a person walking into the photograph. I waited for what felt like an eternity, first an old man with a checkered shirt. Then came a couple, but the man was wearing cargo shorts and sandals. Pickiness helps me sort through the thousands of photos I take in one night and what people wear influences my decisions of whether or not the picture is good or not.

But then X marks the spot, dressed in black, and a beautiful image was formed.
