Collab with Anzomez
The original photo was taken in the Chesler Park area of Canyonlands National Park. Backpacking is one of my favorite things to do. I get to spend a night/nights in the backcountry without any distractions. Life is simple in the backcountry because there are only a few things that you have to do. Set up your tent, find a water source and filter water, boil water to rehydrate your freeze dried meals, and store your food (hang, cannister, or in a bear box if you're lucky).
The physical journey from point A to point B each day gives me time to go on a mental journey. I stand in the sun and feel the warmth on my skin. I stop in a meadow and listen to the birds sing. I just stop and admire the beauty that surrounds me. I get to dream about the things I want to do or places I'd like to visit. It also gives me time to let go of the negative and become a better me.
Adventurous in Real Life is a collection of work based on real life experiences. Each piece will be a collab with a different artist. Each artist chooses a photo that resonates with them and reimagines it in their style. I chose the first 5 artists for the collab pieces. All subsequent collabs will be referrals from previous artists. The direction of this collection will be organic.
