Prism is a generative artwork composed of 70 images, in which gestures and algorithms collaborate to create high definition digital assets. These images explore the idea of refraction, a phenomenon that occurs when light pierces through different mediums and surfaces, breaking it down into a wide range of colors. The sequence of colors refracted through gestures on a digital surface is then captured and combined by an algorithm, condensing form, time and space in a single construct. The digital algorithm has infinite results and infinite possible variations. The final product is, therefore, a unique collaboration between the artist and the autonomous digital system itself.
