My piece "Breathe Deeply" is a digital collage inspired by one of the motivational mantras that I like to tell myself, "Breathe deeply and be unafraid." I've suffered from anxiety and panic attacks for much of my life, and I've recently found that being mindful about my breathing - taking slow, deep breaths - helps me tremendously in calming down and easing my anxiety. Also, to go along with deep breathing, I've found that being outside in nature and breathing in fresh air helps greatly as well. My collage shows a woman outside in nature, with her lungs visible, as a reminder to take deep breaths. The deep breaths will, in turn, help you to be unafraid.
