In 1989 TWR made this XR10 with V6 3.0L bi-turbo engine for racing in IMSA and the XJR11 with V6 3.5L bi-turbo to racing in 1989 WSC (Wolrd Sports Car Championship). The first of three XJR-10s constructed in 1989, chassis 389 was campaigned in the IMSA GTP series for the better part of three seasons by the TWR Jaguar Team. Jan Lammers won two races with this car in 1989.
