The egg is covered with a glowing, hot metal, dressed with the same scales that protect the Red Dragons. Red Eggs , much like the Blue Eggs, can only survive inside blazing hot magma, rotting and dying once removed from the burning climate. The, surrounding the egg, was no real value except for the power source capabilities it holds. Alchemists struggled over the ages to convert the Red Eggs into power sources.

Since Red Eggs survive only in magma, they can be found at the bottom of volcanoes, magma rivers and pools.
