He was soaked. Ive saved thousands of bees, but this guy was toast, i mean just a soggy wet dead bee. I thought initially maybe I could Save him. But it became apparent pretty quickly he was toast. Just a soggy wet dead lump of a bee.

I knew exactly who he was. I’d saved him twice earlier in the day. he just really wanted to go swimming. I don’t blame him. It was like 114 degrees out. But now he was gone. Dead and soggy. I felt completely responsible. I should have removed him from that area the first time he went back in. But, beetween you and me, he seemed to have his mind made up. So I let me bee.

But then when I saw he had finally succumbed to his own stupidity, I felt awful. And deeply responsible. He was dead as fuck. Truly.

But I had nothing else to do, and I was in a particularly stubborn mood. I spent probably 15 minutes blowing air over his body using a drinking straw, sweeping it back and forth and alternating between very light and somewhat stronger bursts of air. I certainly wasn’t going to hurt him, so I may have been even gotten a bit carried away. I even tried bee cpr and pressed on his little abdomen. I lightly rubbed his little face, and then I decided to put my headphone up to him to play him a song I felt was fitting. It’s called “when the angles miss your call” by lustral. Well, there was a miracle in that music, because at the very first note that played through the headphone, he responded. Something in the vibration, brought him back to life. It took him literally like an hour to dry off and to gain his senses. He was exhausted, that much can be clearly seen. But he was obviously thankful.

This isn’t ai or cgi video rendering. This is real life. The real life exchange between a bee, and the weird kid that didn’t want him to die.

Although this may be the first video to show a moment of almost surreal, but obvious communication between an insect and a human. It’s not something surreal or isolated. And is one of several encounters I have had with life forms that would never be assumed to have any such capacity for having appreciation for life, let alone relaying that appreciation to another life form.
